I'm stuck... I need to find a way for a ghost to communicate with a living person and it can't be through telepathy (i think that's the word?) or the cliched- only she can hear the ghost.
Like I need them to have conversations that don't require a ouija bored or writing. It has to be spoken, out loud.
HELP!!!!!

can't they just talk out loud so it seems real but really they're dreaming or daydreaming or something? or is that telepathy?

Thats sorta along the lines of only she can hear him. Shes not daydreaming, she's really talking to a ghost.. I just gotta figure out a way to do it out loud that;s not cliched.
Or maybe I should just stick with the cliche cuz it obv works?? and worry about other stuff?? IDK.. ugg

Does the reader have to KNOW the character is talking to a ghost? Or is it a conversation that is happening and the reader is just observing? Did that question even make sense? If not, sorry!

It totally made sense. Yea, the reader has to know they're talking. They're the two main characters so it's sorta like a huge portion of the story. I thought about doing a sixth sense type of thing, but ya know, the sixth sense already did that lol, and I'd have to re-write my first 5 scenes.
Pretty much.. this ghost finally finds a living person who can hear him and so he won't leave the girl till she helps him (in simplest terms). I'm pretty sure I'm just going to have to go with some telepathy type thing that's played out for the reader as regular conversation. Blaaaah
